The Coalition for Luggage Security Congratulates Nigeria's Ban of Cargo from Passenger Airlines
12/05/2005 14:10
The Coalition for Luggage Security according to an article published today (http://allafrica.com/stories/200512030014.html) the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has decided that due to its inability to guarantee safety for its passengers, unscreened cargo will be excluded from passenger aircraft.
"Not much can be said when Nigeria, a country struggling with a multitude of issues, can take the lead from the United States of America. I thought that the safety of American citizens would always lead the world. I guess I was wrong," said Richard Altomare, Founder and President of the Coalition for Luggage Security and CEO and Chairman of Universal Express, Inc. (OTCBB: USXP).
"Our Coalition has embraced Mr. Altomare's white paper (http://www.usxp.com/securitywp.pdf) on the separating of cargo and luggage from passenger planes, which was crafted years ago. Mr. Altomare's suggestions were read into the Congressional Record for all Senators and Congressman to read. Mr. Altomare has appeared on countless television shows and authored poignant articles on separating passengers for safety and their convenience. Congratulations to Nigeria for listening. Now it's time for our elected officials to grasp the gravity of the situation," said Harvey Abelson, Coalition for Luggage Security Coordinator.
